Botox
Botox is a purified form of the botulinum toxin that is obtained from bacteria. Regulated amount of Botox is given to correct wrinkles has been used safely for decades.
How does Botox work?
Botox works by blocking nerve signals in the muscles where it is injected. When those nerve signals are interrupted, the affected muscle is temporarily paralyzed or frozen.

What to expect during your Botox process?
Before the procedure
Your doctor might use one or more of methods to numb the area to reduce discomfort. Various methods such as topical anesthesia, ice and vibration anesthesia may be used.

During the procedure
Botox injections are usually performed in our clinic. A thin needle is used to inject tiny amounts of botulinum toxin into your skin or muscles. Depending on the extent of the area that needs to be treated, the number of injections given will vary.

After the procedure
You can return to your normal activities right after the procedure. However, please do not rub or massage the treated areas for 24 hours. This is to prevent the toxin from spreading to a different area.
Aftercare for Botox
Effects can be seen after 3-4 days, but full results appear after 14 days. As Botox wears off over time, most side effects are only temporary. It generally lasts for 3-4 months or up to 6 months in some patients.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. By adding precise amounts to the area of interest, they can be used to augment and contour facial features.
How do Dermal Fillers work?
Dermal Fillers are injected into the skin to fill up fine lines and wrinkles. The hyaluronic acid within fillers can be used to add facial volume, or attain diminished facial lines.

What to expect during your Dermal Filler process?
Before the procedure
Prior to each injection, a cold icepack or numbing cream will be applied to the skin to reduce discomfort and bruising.

During the procedure
Dermal Filler is administered via manual injection. Treatment duration is between 15 to 30 minutes for each treatment area.

After the procedure
There may be slight bruising and swelling on rare occasions.
Aftercare for Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers yields immediate results. After a single treatment alone, you will be able to notice the added volume in sunken areas of your face, or reduction of fine lines on your face. Optimal results will show after 2 weeks as this is the time where moisture will be locked into the skin.

Results vary for individuals. Effects can last up to 15 months, and it will be naturally metabolised by your body gradually. However, to maintain your desirable look, regular top up treatments will have to be done.
